At Daylight Singers, we believe singing has the power to brighten your day, lift your spirits, and bring people together.

These daytime choirs are especially popular with retired and semi-retired people, although everyone is welcome. Whether you've sung in choirs for years or haven't sung since school, you'll find a friendly atmosphere where you can relax, enjoy yourself, and discover just how much fun singing can be.

There's no audition, no need to read music, and no pressure to be perfect. We use notated music but learn by ear, support one another, and enjoy making music together in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

For many of our members, choir is about much more than singing. It's a regular date in the diary, a great place to meet new people, enjoy a good laugh, and be part of something positive. Friendships grow, confidence blossoms, and many members tell us they leave every rehearsal feeling happier than when they arrived.

Research increasingly supports what singers have known for years: singing together can benefit both our mental and physical wellbeing. Studies have shown that group singing may help reduce stress, improve mood, encourage healthy breathing, strengthen social connections, and contribute to an overall sense of wellbeing. While it's no substitute for medical treatment, singing is increasingly recognised as a wonderful way to support a healthy, active lifestyle.
