We started Laar Music because singing together is one of the simplest, most powerful things people can do — and it works best when a room is full of different lives, different stories, and different voices, all finding the same note at the same time.

That means our choirs are for everyone. Regardless of age, background, ability, race, religion, gender, sexuality, or anything else that might make someone wonder if they'd fit in — you would. There's no audition, no "good enough" to prove, and no version of yourself you need to leave at the door.

We know that some of the things that keep people from joining a choir have nothing to do with any of that. It's confidence. It's not knowing what to expect. It's wondering if you'll be the only one who's never done this before. We try to make that first step as easy as we possibly can, because the whole point of what we do only works if people actually feel able to walk in.

We won't pretend we always get everything right — we're a small, independent organisation without a big team behind us. But we care about this deeply, we keep listening, and we keep trying to do better.
